Model City Polish Summer Collection

Good evening everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Fourth of July.  I ended up with a mild stomach bug but I’m up an going now.  I am super thrilled to share with you guys my new blends for Summer.  This collection is going to consists of 5 amazingly bright neons and two cooler toned blends.  I have put these guys through a lot of test and do have a few notes for certain shades.  These are all inspired by fun, bright summer drinks but with out the alcohol.  I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do.

First up I am going to share the cool-toned blends.  Blue Hawaiian is a crelly base blend with two shades of blue flakies and a splash of purple flakies.  This blend is a little sheer so the flakies can really sparkle but you should get full coverage in no more than three coats.  In my photos I am wearing three coats of Blue Hawaiian and one coat of Gelous.

 

Next up is Venetian Sunset.  This is a peachy pink crelly with pink, gold, and yellow flakies.  In my photos I am wearing three coats and a coat of Gelous.

 

Now for the Neons!  I am super excited about these!  Now I did a stain test wear on all of these and did not experience any staining but I will still recommend a base coat to be safe.  Everyone’s body chemistry is a little different and I would rather be safe than sorry. 🙂

Now for one of my favorites Electric Lemonade.  This is a incredibly bright blue with a hint of blurple and filled with pink and blue flecks.  This one dries to a satin finish so for a high gloss shine I recommend a top coat.  In my photos I am wearing three coats and a coat of Gelous.

 

Next up is Hot Pink Barbie.  Now I need to make a note on this one.  I did a “sun” test on all of the neons for fading, these suckers can be picky, and this is the only one that showed any problems in the month of testing.  I had one bottle sitting in a window seal and another on the opposite side of the room.  The one sitting in direct light did fade so I recommend not storing this in an area that gets a lot of light.  That being said the color is exactly what I wanted and why I went with it.  Hot Pink Barbie is a crazy bright pink filled with pink and purple flakies.  In my photos I am wearing three coats of Hot Pink Barbie and one coat of Gelous.

 

Next up is Purple Dragon.  This is a bright purple shade with blue and purple flecks.  This one applies a little patchy at first but smooths out as coats are added.  In my photos I am wearing three coats of Purple Dragon and one coat of Gelous.

 

Next up is Green Monster.  This is a bright green blend with green and gold flakies.  This one is a little tricker on nail line coverage so depending on your taste and visibility of nail line, you may try using a base color.  In my photos I am wearing three coats of Green Monster and a coat of Gelous.

 

Lastly for the collection is Sparks.  This is a crazy bright red orange blend with fiery orange flakies.  In my photos I am wearing three coats of Sparks and one coat of Gelous.

 

So what do you guys think of the new Summer Collection?  Even with the few notes, I am really loving this group of lacquers and I hope you guys do too.  These guys will be available on Wednesday, July 9th, at 4:00 PM CST on my personal site.  I will have the shop open until 4:00 PM CST of Thursday and at that time I will be putting the shop on vacation mode in preparation for my trip to Cosmoprof in Vegas.  When I return I will reopen shop and also have the Summer line added to my Etsy shop.  I will try my best to have all orders shipped out Friday morning, the only hold up may be cuticle oils because those are mixed to order to ensure freshness.  Thank you all so much for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
