Good afternoon everyone! I am back again with more goodies from the His Dark Materials Collection by Daphine Polish. This new collection is called the His Dark Materials Collection and is inspired by the His Dark Materialstrilogy by Philip Pullman. The collection consists of 8 different blends that cover a large spectrum. This new collection will be available this coming Friday. If you missed yesterday’s post, please check it out for the other half of this collection.
First up today is Dust. This is a pale yellow blend with a lovely shimmer. From the maker; Dust is a metaphysical particle invisible to the human eye. Many of the adult characters in His Dark Materials have spent their lives researching and chasing Dust, trying to learn more about this mysterious particle, whether it be to harness its power or destroy it. In my photos I am wearing three coats.
Next up is one of my favorites, Gyptian Longboat. This is a lovely dust purple with a gorgeous blue green shimmer. From the maker; like sun and moss glistening in murky waters. It is inspired by Ma Costa, the leader of a gyptian family, who was Lyra’s nurse as an infant. She and other gypitans have been secretly watching out for Lyra on behalf of the king of the gyptians , John Faa. The gyptians are a nomadic people, living in longboats. They call the Fens of East Anglia home, but travel around Brytain through canals and rivers, making their livelihoods through trade. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Gyptian Longboat.
Next up is my other favorite from the group, Sky Armor. This is a lovely pale blue shade with medium blue flecks. From the maker; inspired by Iorek Byrnison , the armored bear. First encountered in Trollesund, Lyra helps him recover his armor, which was taken from him by the people of the town. Iorek pledges himself to Lyra’s cause and becomes her champion. Lyra’s wits help Iorek defeat the usurper king Iofur Raknison and become king of the bears. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Sky Armor.
Last for the collection is a glitter topper, Cittàgazze. This is a clear base blend filled with green, blue, gold, pink, and iridescent glitter in various sizes and shapes. From the maker; Loosely translated from Italian, Cittàgazze means “City of the Magpies.” This glitter topper in a clear base is inspired by the city of Cittàgazze in The Subtle Knife and the colors of the Italian Mediterranean. In my photos I am wearing one coat of Cittàgazze over Sky Armor and sealed with a coat of Gelous.

Gyptian Longboat is such a great purple! I also especially love the blue shimmer in Sky Armor. So pretty.
