Good evening! I hope you have all been having a wonderful week so far. Things have been as hectic as ever here at the homestead, and I love every minute. My job has been super busy, I’m killing it in my new position, and my boyfriend and I finally started our fence build at home. We have been wanting to build a privacy fence for our dog, Sally, so she can have a safe environment to run and play in. Finally starting it and it’s already been gratifying. The last time I built anything by hand was back in shop class in 7th grade which was MANY moons ago and the last time for him was as a child building forts in the wood. We went into this with tons of research and I’m thrilled with the results so far. We have 2 acres and hope to one day have it all fenced but for now, we are working on a large portion for Sally with a goal of completion in May.
Since all of our money and free time is going to the fence, we have been spending a lot of time at home, and while I’m not going out for Mardi Gras, I did want to create some fun nail art to celebrate. For today’s look, I used some of my favorite brands Cuccio Colour and Moyra. I started off with a single coat of Make A Difference by Cuccio Colour, can you believe I’ve had this shade for 5 years? Next, I used Make A Difference with Water You Doing? by Cuccio Colour to create a green-to-purple gradient. Lastly, I used Dourado by La Femme with the Damask Drapery plate from Moyra. I sealed everything with two coats of High Gloss Top Coat from Cuccio Colour.
So what do you guys think of my Mardi Gras inspire mani? It’s not a color combo I normally go with but for the holiday, I love it! I hope to have some new products up on the blog later this week and next week, I’m trying out tons of new stuff from cat care, to nails, to skincare!
Before I head out, you heard me ramble about our fence and I have to share a photo of where we are at, all 40 feet of its glory. The firewood storage is empty for now since we had to move it for the fence but Sally has lounged on it while we work and let us know she wants a fence next. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I will see you all again soon! Be safe! <3
