Good afternoon! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far. Today I have another blend from Lucky 13 to share with you guys. What I thought would be beautiful for a Springy manicure just left me sad. I have talked with Kyoti about my bottle and she has said that she had some issues with her white base that was not suspending glitter properly. She has since changed formulas and say’s that things are much better.
Mist and Shadow, Cloud and Shade is a periwinkle crelly with blue and silver holographic glitter in various sizes and shapes. When Accio Lacquer shared her review of this blend it immediately went on my wish list. I finally acquired this blend through a swap with a dear friend and was beyond excited to finally have this beauty in my collection. When I first started to apply this one I wasn’t getting much glitter so I used the magnet on the bottle trick to try to dislodge the ones stuck to the sides but still nothing like what the photos showed in the review. My photos are shown two coats of Mist and Shadows, Cloud and Shade and then a coat of Gelous. You can find Accio’s review here for comparison.
So what do you guys think of Mist and Shadows, Cloud and Shade? I talked with the girl who I got it from and figure this bottle to be about 6 months old. She still had a swatch on a nail stick from when she bought it and there was a little more glitter but still no where near the advertising photos. So settling and varying batches is most likely why mine looks nothing like the other photos. I think I am going to store this one upside down from here on out. The color and glitter combination is still really pretty. Kyoti did offer to replace my bottle but I declined due to the fact that I had not been the originally purchaser. I didn’t feel right asking her to replace something I had got second hand. So while the blend wasn’t what I had expected, her service was top notch. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow.

I just did swatches of this for an upcoming blog post and had the same outcome you did. The bottom of my bottle is a little white and I can’t get glitter off of the sides of the bottle. I stored it upside down for about a week before I swatched it, but had the exact same results.

That’s really unfortunate! How old is your bottle? Kyoti said she had changed formula but didn’t say exactly when.

I love the base color of this. I feel like somehow Accio’s reviews are misleadingly perfect every time. Too bad about the glitters! Hopefully the revised formula is better.

I haven’t had a lot of issues with stuff that Accio has reviewed. I do believe a lot of it has to do with how applied, lighting, and such. 🙂
