Set In Ocean by KBShimmer and My Beach Getaway

Good evening everyone!  I hope you have all been having an amazing past few days.  I am just getting back from a mini weekend beach getaway and trying to get things back on track on the home front.  While I do love my vacations, coming back I always need a few days to catch up around the house before things are back to normal.  Until I get things caught up I wanted to share my polish pick for my beach getaway and also share a few shots from  my vacation.  First the polish!

Going to the beach had me craving some crazy glitter bomb and Set In Ocean from KBShimmer totally fit that bill!  Set In Ocean is a stunning aqua blue holographic glitter bomb with a slight aqua blue jelly tinted base.  Application, formula, and coverage were all amazing!  In my photos I am wearing two coats of Set In Ocean by KBShimmer and two coats of clear.

This lacquer is just stunning!!!  I am happy to report that it held up to three days of beach/salt water/and constant lotion applications.  It was also a breeze to remove when I got home!  Now for the trip portion!

I had the pleasure of spending a few days at both Navarre Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore.  Navarre Beach is part of a quiet little community that hasn’t been completely ran over by large condominium/hotel chains and offers a much more laid back vacation.  The Gulf Islands National Seashore is a national park so you get the full natural beach experience and very little crowding which is the perfect way to unwind and relax.  I had so much fun just hanging out with friends and family, soaking up some sun, and eating way too much food!
Kicking off the beach weekend with some Corona Extra!  No glass bottles at the beach limits you on the craft beer options so I went with an old faithful this weekend.Out of all the food I had this weekend, Windjammers On the Pier was hands down my favorite!  I got the Fish Tacos with Mahi Mahi and oh my…I want to make the 5 hour drive just to have these again!!!  Windjammers has just recently opened up a location at the pier so you get tons of great beach views along with awesome food.  Only downside…the alcohol offerings were very limited.  Just a few beer options and no liquor options so no classic beach cocktails here.Gorgeous sunset from night 1 via my parents community pier.  This is such a peaceful area with vary little boat traffic.  It’s the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day!Obligatory beach selfie!  I am loving these sunglasses I picked up last year on my beach trip!  Swimsuit is a cheapy from Wal-Mart but it gets the job done.
How gorgeous is the Gulf Islands Nation Seashore?  There are miles of untouched beaches and with a speed limit of 25, you really get to enjoy every bit of it!
Second sunset of the weekend….yeah, this spot will never get old!!!You better believe I had my umbrella up and skin covered in Banana Boat Sport SPF 25 all weekend!  Coming home with a sunburn was one souvenir I didn’t want!!  I am already planning my next little getaway to this sleepy little town and if you are ever in need of some relaxation with out all the crowds, check out Navarre Beach area!!
