Good afternoon everyone! Today I am starting the week off with an extremely happy note, Cinderella! I am sure I am not the only one that was just in love with Cinderella, and all the other princesses, as a child and beyond excited for the new movie. To go along with a fabulous movie, you certainly need some fabulous lacquers and Morgan Taylor has delivered. Today’s post is going to feature The Cinderella Collection from Morgan Taylor and will be picture heavy so grab a warm drink and let’s take a look.
First up we have Watch Your Step, Sister!. This is a wonderful bright pink coral creme that applies amazingly. My camera did seem to brighten these a little more that in person but still the color is a very close representation. Some times the bright corals tend to apply patchy but with this one no issues what so ever. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Watch Your Step, Sister!.
Next up we have Ella of a Girl. This is a lovely light pink creme. The formula was super easy to work with and leveled nicely. In my photos I am wearing just three coats of Ella of a Girl.
Now for one of my favorites, Party at the Palace. This is a lovely teal mint with a soft golden shimmer blend that is just simply stunning. The formula was very easy to work with and didn’t have any streaking that sometimes happens with heavy shimmer blends. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Party at the Palace.
Now for My Carriage Awaits. This is a bright but soft peachy orange with the slightest hint of orange shimmer. I again experience no issues what so ever and jus loved they final look of this blend. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of My Carriage Awaits.
Now for another favorite, Best Ball Gown Ever. This is a lovely periwinkle blue blend with a golden silver shimmer. I had no streaking issues even though this had a heavy shimmer. It was a bit sheerer but with three coats of Best Ball Gown Ever I had a pretty opaque finish.
Lastly we have If the Slipper Fits. This is a shimmer blue blend with silver holographic glitter. While I had no issues with application, I personally did not care for the end look. I am not a big fan of larger glitters in metallic/shimmer blends, they just look weird to me. The glitter creates a textured blend and give the shimmer base a lumpy look. I did apply a good coat of Gelous but it still had a weird look. In my photos I am wearing three coats of If the Slipper Fits and one good coat of Gelous.
So what do you guys think of The Cinderella Collecting from Morgan Taylor? All in all, great collection with colors actually inspired by the movie. I have already created a fun mani with the step sister inspired blends and can’t wait to share it later this week.
