Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you are all having a good 2025 so far! In the new year, we have many goals. I’m not a resolution person, but I look forward to sharing all the new things I have in store this year.
I started the carnivore diet on the first day of this year. So far, I have had excellent results and am very happy with all the changes I have experienced. I have tried many different eating habits, and this one has been the most successful. I know some foods do not agree with my body, so after much research, this seemed the best way to eliminate them. I will then slowly introduce other foods to find out my issues. While I have certainly lost a good bit of weight, I have also experienced my average body temp has come down, my leg cramps are gone, I am not covered in bruises from the slightest bump, I have more energy, I don’t need to go back to bed as soon as I wake up, my attitude has improved, and I am more optimistic. Today marks day 46 with my calories consisting of 98% animal product, and I am trying to make it a full 90 days before going on an animal-based diet.
Along with changing my health, I want to start doing more nail art and sharing with you guys, so today, I want to share my Valentine’s Day look. I went with a candy-inspired look using Jodi and Ellie by Zoya and a makeup sponge to create a powder candy look. Everything is then sealed with a Marvel Liquid Marco Top Coat coat by SuperChic Lacquer.
Another great thing that finally happened this year was that Sally and Zelda got to have their very first SNOW DAY! Sally is 7 years old, and this was her very first snow day, and Zelda, at just 6 months, got to have her first. Zelda is a Miniature Australian Shepherd who immediately fell in love with the snow; she is undoubtedly a cold-weather dog, but Sally… well, it took putting her sweater on to get her to go outside. After about 15 minutes outside, she warmed up to it, and she and Zelda both played hard. Afterward, they piled up on the couch with me, warming my heart. I love these two so much and am glad they have become best friends.
I am so lucky to have had such a great start to 2025, and I hope to carry this positivity throughout the next ten months. What extraordinary things have happened for you already this year? What are you most looking forward to this year? My next big goal this year is to finally remodel my laundry room/mudroom and make it a more functional space, so look out for that next month.
